Poland is an inspiring country to study abroad, and Polish universities have been more successful in international university rankings over the past years. The trend keeps growing. I write about studying and working in Eastern Europe and currently preparing my applications to study in Poland. You can check my forum and blog pages to see all my posts.

In Poland, universities have to go through a pretty nice process of judgment and certification. Before they can admit students and start teaching classes, the Polish authorities have to ensure these schools and institutions live up to a nationwide standard for research and education. That means you can rely on them!

Jagiellonian University

Jagiellonian University is the oldest university in Poland, Founded in 1364 with its main campus centrally located in Cracow, and the university has 15 faculties including humanities, law, medicine, natural and social sciences.

The university library is one of Poland’s biggest and houses several medieval handwriting as well as a wide collection of underground political literature.
More than 70 student associations are part of the university, usually to motivate students’ scientific effort through organizing lectures, outing and international conferences.

Warsaw University of Technology

Warsaw University of Technology also attribute in the QS EECA University Rankings, in which it’s ranked 15th amidst universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia. It holds a place among the top technological institutes in Europe, and is one of the region’s biggest providers of technical education.

Situated in the Polish capital, the university has about 30,982 students and 19 faculties, which cover all fields of science and technology. Founded in 1899, the university was one of the first universities in Poland to teach engineering. In recent years, its graduates have become popular for making up a noble percentage of Polish managers and directors.

Wroclaw University of Science and Technology

Wroclaw University of Science and Technology also ranks in the top 50 institutions in Poland in the EECA rankings, placing 44th. Its objective is to impact and develop ambitious students’ academic and professional ambition in scientific and technological advancements, it has played a crucial role in technical education since it was established in 1945. Today, it entertains over 28,300 students across its 16 faculties in Wroclaw, with its main facilities assembled near Plac Grunwaldzki, alongside the Oder river.

The Medical University of Warsaw is one of the oldest and the biggest medical schools in Poland. Its first academic department of medicine was actualized in 1809. The university is connected with a number of hospitals across Poland.

This University occupies two sites: Banacha campus and Lindleya campus. The campuses has student clubs, sports, libraries and improvement centers to facilitate the full-fledged development and growth of students.

The university has established partnerships with many medical colleges and universities in many countries such as the USA, Germany, China, France, Japan and India. It also regularly hosts student exchanges through the Erasmus Student Network.

University of Warsaw

The University of Warsaw is one of Poland’s biggest institutions and also one of its most respected.
Most of the teaching are in Polish, the university offers above 20 programs that are taught in English, including courses in business, economics and political science. The main campus of the university is situated in the city center and contains several historic palaces.
Four graduates of University of Warsaw have won Nobel awards, including the physicist Joseph Rotblat and the former Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin.

Vistula University

Vistula University is one of the first Polish private universities, Founded in 1996. The university offers education in various profession, including journalism, international relations, economics, management, graphic designing, finance and accounting. Beside, the university also offers several introductory language, executive education, and online courses. The university has received approval from many notable organizations, including ACCA, CEEMAN, and EFMD.

The campus of Vistula University is supplied with several student-friendly amenities to assure the best educational environment for students.     1. As far as I know, the intakes are usually in Winter and in Summer (semesters). The application for both semesters starts around March/April – May/June and Nov. – Jan. respectively. There are rarely any intakes in Springs, rather it is the time for application for the winter semester.
