Taiwan is as colourful as it is densely populated. The Asian Island is on the list of one of the most populated countries in the world. Its cities are crowded, busy streets and host to vibrant ancient temples, museums and a mouth-watering display of snacks and meals in its market. There is a lot to see, eat and experience in Taiwan. It is the perfect haven for a tourist. Although the country has been embroiled in ownership claims with China for a while, its citizens are friendly and very welcoming to foreigners. There is a lot to do in Taiwan but here are two locations to add to your bucket list to make your trip memorable.

    Sun Moon Lake

The name of this lake sounds like a fairytale and it is not far from the truth. The Sun Moon is Taiwan’s largest body of water and a stunning sight that everyone needs to experience at least once. Tourists get to go sailing and have a relaxing boat trip on the lake. Along, its shores, there are resorts, bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, and hotels. It comes as no surprise that it is a popular spot among visiting tourists.

    Alishan National Scenic Area

It is wild, scenic, and has hilly terrains, valleys, and waterfalls. Alishan has about twenty-five towering mountains which implies it has a lot of hiking trails for tourists that love to be active. The scenery is nothing short of magical. For the best experience, exploring Alishan is best done via the Alishan Forest Railway.
