    The France Ministry of Foreign Affairs created the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program, which offers annual training for prospective foreign decision-makers in the public and private sectors in Master’s and Doctoral degree programs.

    The following seven disciplines of study are covered by the two primary disciplinary fields for the Eiffel scholarships:

    For Science and Technology

    • Health and Biology
    • Ecological Transition

    Mathematics and Digital

    • Science and Engineering

    Social sciences and humanities

    • French language, culture, and history
    • Law and political science
    • Economics and management

    Scholarship requirements

    Scholarship requirement include the following:

    Enrollment by any French higher education institutions of candidates submitted to the Eiffel program by that institution;

    • in master’s degree-awarding courses
    • in a program for engineers
    • ln collaboration with an international partner university as part of a joint doctoral program (joint supervision of dissertation and/or dual degree).

      Scholarship Duration and Compensation

    Duration of the scholarship

    Master’s level

    When enrolling in an M2, no more than 12 months.

    24 months limit when enrolling in an M1

    A degree in engineering can be completed in as little as 36 months.

    Doctorate level

    The Eiffel scholarship is given for a year in France.

    Master’s level

    Eiffel scholarship recipients receive a monthly stipend of €1,181, plus additional services like international and domestic transportation, insurance, house searches, cultural events, etc.

    Doctoral degree

    Eiffel scholarship recipients receive a monthly salary of €1,700 plus additional services including international and domestic transportation, insurance, house searches, cultural events, and more.

    The Eiffel program does not pay tuition for either of the program’s components.

    First Step

    For guidance and advice on your study plans, get in touch with Campus France in your home country or the Cooperation and Cultural Action Department of the French Embassy.

    Contact the foreign relations department of a French institution via its website, via phone, or by e-mail to find out the steps and dates for submitting an application.

    You must decide which college or institution best suits your goals for studying in France.

    Applications can be submitted from any higher education institution in France.

    Second Step

    Your application for the Eiffel Scholarship is supported by the institution.

    Your application is submitted by the institution online through the specific Campus France website.

    Applications sent by foreign institutions or by students will be deemed ineligible.
