    Job Description

    Carpe Diem needs Educational Instructors to travel with small groups of students for about 3 months. These Instructors are expected to have the right balance of leadership and mentorship, travel sensitivity, cultural understanding, community living skills, risk management experience, and a passion for working with students ages 17-22. Positions available in

    Hawai’i, Central America, Italy, Greece and Southeast Asia

    Applications accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Positions open until filled.

    Job Requirements

    The following roles are expected of every Carpe Diem instructor:

    • You must be able to work legally in the U.S. By implication, you are either a U.S. citizen or possess a working Visa or Green Card.

    • You must be Proficient in Spanish for our Latin America semesters.

    • Direct experience living, working or independently traveling in the region(s) for which you apply

    • You must have professional experience in leading or facilitating groups (preferably with students of ages 17 – 22).

    • Good team spirit, especially while working with a co-leader.

    • Current Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification or ability to complete the course before departure.

    • A valid Drivers License for our South Pacific, Hawai’i, and Italy & Greece semesters.

    Job Roles/Responsibilities

    • assisting students in navigating cultures and countries;

    • teaching them how to be responsible travelers.

    • helping them to develop effective interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Effectively provide support for students to explore and expand comfort zones.

    • advocating for optimal student health.

    • supporting logistics from transportation to budgets.
