I am starting this discussion to answer your questions:
Q: I searched online for B2 exams questions and I saw them. It was as if I haven’t started anything at all… The questions are so demanding that it would definitely take more than 3 years for me to be able to answer some of them. The oral part is just something else….
What’s your advice on it bro? I should keep learning it, or I should just change the course (pharmacy) which demands compulsory German for the Preparatory Study program.
A: If you learn German intensively, it should take you about a year to get to B2 level. Preparation for the final exams may then take some extra weeks – in all, I would say maximum 18 months will be the time needed.
Whether to change the course, Pharmacy, would be up to you, if you want to study in German or not. You may opt for study programs taught in English language and wouldn’t need the preparatory study program.
Q: Also I didn’t tell you.. I’m in level 3 at Bayero University Kano, I’m studying agriculture, it’s 5 years.. since the preparatory program demands German I’m thinking maybe I should apply after my degree. And by then there won’t be need for the Preparatory Study program and with time over there I’m sure I would be able to learn German.
A: Since you are already in 300L, I’d advise you continued till the end and then apply for a related Master’s study program. Securing a scholarship at the Master’s level is a lot easier and there are many English language taught programs.
