    The CoaST Research Centre at DTU Chemical Engineering seeks qualified candidates for PhD position on Digitalization.

    We are looking for very ambitious PhD candidates interested in working with us on the digitalization of our research infrastructure. The core topic will be to implement the DTU Maritime Test Centre in the Hundested harbour into a state-of-the-art SCADA system for remote monitoring and automated data logging.

    Our working environment is international and intercultural. Our working language is English.

    Eligibility Criteria: You must have a two-year master’s degree(120 ECTS points) in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or materials science and be able to handle and have an interest in development and implementation of digital tools for research.

    Experience with coatings may be an advantage.

    Approval and Enrolment

    The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU.


    The assessment of the applicants will be made by Professor Kim Dam-Johansen and Assistant Professor Jochen Dreyer.

    Scholarship Type: Fully Funded

    Degree level: PhD

    Scholarship benefits: The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is three years.

    Denmark and other Scandinavian countries are some top study abroad locations with attractive opportunities for students. Those locations may not meet the popular list of study abroad locations, but they offer way more opportunities than those that make the list.
