Venezuela is a diverse country filled with beaches, sand dunes and wildlife like anacondas and piranhas. It is known for its oil exportation and as the homeland of the infamous Simon Bolivar who helped to several the independence of several South American countries from Spain.

In addition, Venezuela is also known for producing seven Miss Universe beauty pageant winners, six Miss World winners, seven Miss International crowns and two Miss Earth winners. No other country has this record. Obviously, this country has a lot to offer in terms of beauty and this can be seen in some of the stunning spots it has to offer.

    Los Roques Archipelago National Park

In an attempt to protect the marine ecosystem, the Venezuelan government approved the construction of the Los Roques Archipelago National Park in 1972. Its coral reefs are home to the stunning fauna and flora of the Caribbean. This national park has varying bird species, beautiful white sand and multicoloured beaches and warm waters. It is an ideal location for fishing, diving and sailing. Another protected marine ecosystem to check out in Venezuela is the Mochima National Park.

    Medanos de Coro National Park

Unlike, Los Roques Archipelago and Mochima National Parks, this is not for a marine ecosystem. Medanos de Coro is filled with spectacular sand dunes that are prone to changing shapes because of the high winds. Some of these sand dunes are about 120 feet tall and come in varying shades of yellow and orange. Tourists are allowed to hire camels and guides to explore this park.
