I didn’t get the job and I am very happy about it today 😁

The position was to work as a lab assistant and help with the production of oligonucleotides (used for molecular biology research). When I reflect on the experience today, I am grateful that I didn’t get the job; I am a sales guy, and not someone to work in the lab. I like talking, meeting people and discussing products.

It was a friend who advised me to apply to jobs that I truly will enjoy and best if I had an experience in it before. So I changed my focus from applying to Lab/Research Technician positions to more vibrant areas like Sales, Marketing and Business Development – my career life hasn’t remained the same since then.

Any ways – long story short; let passion be the drive!
